Margaret and I had attended a digital photography course this morning run by the Cape Bird Club and decided to quickly shoot through to the temporary wetlands in the Phillipi area where we were hoping to catch up with White-faced Duck (and hopefully Fulvous Duck as well) for my challenge that I have set myself. We didn't have a lot of time to spare, but quickly found a large group of about 20 birds (large by local standards) and spent a bit of time with them. Unfortunately, we were unable to locate any Fulvous Ducks, so will have to make a plan to get back there sometime soon to add them to the challenge list before they disappear.
